It is the details which make the 243 Ti Z S an elegant ladies’ watch with its very own classic charm. The case is polished high-strength titanium which ensures that the watch is gentle to the skin and pleasant to wear. The black dial features a sunburst effect. The rhodium-plated appliqués have been set by hand and the high-grade sapphire crystal glass has an anti-reflective coating on both sides.
An exclusive feature of the 243 Ti Z S is the polished decorative bezel which we make from zirconium oxide, a special high-performance ceramic. The material is non-metallic and inorganic. The manufacturing process – in which a fine powder is turned into the finished ceramic – is highly complex. In the initial sintering process the powder particles are bonded together by high temperature. This process is supplemented by “hot isostatic compression” in which maximum structural density is achieved under high pressure. The results are impressive. The decorative ring radiates a deep, warm and rich lustre. And it is very hard-wearing: it is fracture-proof and is highly scratch-resistant. The 243 Ti Z S successfully blends the very latest material processing technology with traditional watchmaking craftsmanship.
