On 19th of September, it’s ‘anchors aweigh’ for the international Handmade in Germany exhibition tour, and Sinn Spezialuhren from Frankfurt am Main will be taking part. The exhibition will kick off its world tour, which takes in 15 locations and presents masterpieces from 100 German manufacturers, craftspeople and designers. The first port of call is St Petersburg.
The exhibition brings together a collection of contemporary high-quality products from Germany. The exhibits will showcase the great value and future that high quality, time and handicraft can still enjoy in the age of mass-produced products and globalisation. With its high-quality mechanical watches, Sinn Spezialuhren is a prime example of this and therefore perfectly matches the exhibition concept chosen by the curators of the Direktorenhaus in Berlin.
Sinn Spezialuhren consistently takes its inspiration from Germany. Here, its products are designed specifically for their intended purpose, based on the concepts of functionality, technological features and design. These are mission timers ( EZM=Einsatzzeitmesser) regarded and used as instruments owing to their high suitability for specific situations. The goal is to develop timepieces that meet the demands of professional usage – even under the most extreme conditions. The required level of performance is achieved through technologies developed by Sinn, including TEGIMENT, Ar-Dehumidifying Technology, DIAPAL, HYDRO, magnetic field protection, temperature resistance and captive safety bezel.
The Handmade in Germany exhibition will continue over several years. From Berlin, the exhibition moves on to St Petersburg, before travelling on to Asia, America, the Middle East and then back to Europe. From the watch industry, renowned brands such as Fischer & Cie. Maßuhren, Lang & Heyne and Nomos Glashütte will be present, along with Sinn Spezialuhren.
