Since its premiere in 1999, the Frankfurt Financial District Watches has demonstrated our company's expertise in producing elegant timepieces with high technical standards. The 6033 B model, limited to 250 pieces, skilfully takes up this idea.

While the sapphire crystal symbolises flawless clarity, the transparent case back made of sapphire crystal provides a fascinating view of the finely finished movement, which is decorated with a limited edition number and the rotor engraving of ‘bull and bear’. The polished stainless steel case gives the watch a classic yet contemporary design, so that its diameter of 34 mm ensures perfect wearing comfort and shows it off to its best advantage. The silk-matt, galvanised blue dial, finished with a fine sunburst decoration, gives the watch an additional unique look. The hand-applied appliques convey understated elegance, while the display of two time zones on a 12-hour basis is helpful in everyday working life and allows you to keep an eye on your home time even when on holiday. For a SINN- watch, it goes without saying that this elegant timepiece is also water-resistant, low pressure resistant and pressure-resistant up to 10 bar, making it a clear statement of style and functionality.

The Frankfurt Financial District Watches

2 September 1999: Lothar Schmidt, owner of Sinn Spezialuhren, presents a special timepiece, the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000, at the Frankfurt Museum of Prehistory and Early History: This watch marked the beginning of a traditional line that has been an essential part of our watch collection ever since.

A groundbreaking decision
For Lothar Schmidt and his company, the development of the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000 was a groundbreaking decision. At the beginning, it also represented a major risk. Until then, the name Sinn Spezialuhren had almost exclusively stood for instrument watches for pilots and divers. How would customers react to this planned expansion of the product line in the direction of classic dress watches? The fact that the Frankfurt financial centre watch series with its various timepieces has become a successful model shows the high level of acceptance and the correctness of the decision. The fact that, in addition to their functional strength, these watches also have the robustness typical of Sinn Spezialuhren - they are pressure-resistant up to 10 bar and vacuum-proof - impressively demonstrates that the company has remained true to its own self-image.

A watch for international financial markets
The origins of the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000 go back to a suggestion from the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency in the person of Dr Hartmut Schwesinger. Lothar Schmidt enthusiastically accepted the idea of a joint development, as he immediately recognised the potential of such a timepiece. After all, a financial centre watch could build a significant bridge to a globalised and networked economy, which is characterised by the three time zones in Asia, Europe and America. The trading times in Tokyo, Frankfurt and New York are particularly relevant here. What could be more obvious than the development of a chronograph that can display the three different time zones of these metropolises? A watch like this is ideal for internationally active people for whom distance is virtually irrelevant, but synchronised communication is all the more important.

The significance of the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000 for Lothar Schmidt personally the fact that the time box embedded in the new building of the company.

The connection to Frankfurt am Main
Another important factor in the development was that Lothar Schmidt was able to link an important message with the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000. This refers to the openly demonstrated attachment to the city of Frankfurt, where the company has been based since 1961. The symbolic expression of this commitment - alongside the product name - is the ‘Frankfurt am Main’ lettering on the dial. Applied to a SINN watch for the first time, this indication of origin was also a self-confident indication of the quality feature ‘Made in Germany’, which was not (yet) openly communicated at the time. As a sign of broad recognition, the white gold version of the Frankfurt Financial District Watch 6000 received the ‘Golden Balance’ award in 2006 and the platinum version in 2012.
