SINN achieves an outstanding ranking in the vote for the 2010 Goldene Unruh

17.03.2010   It was 1998 when the trade publication UHRENMAGAZIN, in cooperation with the news magazine “Focus” and its “Focus Online” website, began asking readers to vote for their favorite watches in the “Goldene Unruh” contest. In this year´s competition, SINN Spezialuhren zu Frankfurt am Main took first place in two categories, and placed second in a third.

The prizes were awarded at the historic airfield in Schleißheim.

The “Oscar of the watch industry”
This year, more than 10,000 readers cast votes for more than 50 watches nominated in five price classes. The list of nominated chronographs is a “Who’s Who” of the domestic and international watchmaking industries. In addition to SINN, well-known brands such as Glashütte Original, Breitling, IWC and A. Lange & Söhne were up for an award. No wonder industry insiders and connoisseurs of timepieces call the “Goldene Unruh” the “Oscar of the watch industry.” Among this top-rate competition, SINN appears to enjoy an outstanding reputation with the magazines’ readership. “We see our excellent showing as evidence that many watch experts appreciate our innovative strength, and that they also value the technical features of the traditional masterpieces we produce,” said Lothar Schmidt, owner of SINN Spezialuhren. The positive results are further confirmation of SINN’s consistent fine work. After all, SINN has taken high honors in the years 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2002, 2001 and 1998.
